Terms of Reference

Purpose

The Productivity Liaison Group will play an important role in assessing the needs and priorities of key national users of productivity statistics. The group will also facilitate the effective exchange of information on productivity statistics between the main data providers, compilers, and users of these statistics.

Role

The role of the Group shall be to: 

  • Ensure effective communication of national and international statistical requirements arising from national and international demands
  • Promote and share best practice in the compilation of business and enterprise statistics
  • Group will function as a discussion forum on matters related to Productivity Statistics, which will assist with understanding of existing or planned methodological changes
  • Confidentiality of data must always be respected
  • Statisticians will be invited to attend the meetings that involve their area of expertise / interest
  • Agenda items for discussion can be proposed at a meeting for discussion at the next meeting or proposed in writing to the coordinator of the group.

Membership and Organisation 

The CSO will be responsible for organising meetings and chairing the Group. The agenda will be open, and all members of the group are invited to suggest items for discussion and contribute papers, presentations, or other research. One representative per institution. This can rotate depending on the subjects for discussion at any given meeting.

Frequency of Meetings

The Productivity Statistics Group shall meet twice each year. More frequent meetings may be held if the need arises.

  • Presentation Documents
