The introduction to the survey will collect information on who is answering the survey to determine if the response is direct, supported or proxy.
Following the introduction and within the demographics module, it is necessary to ask or confirm a range of demographic data in the questionnaire, regardless of using a Census of Population sample frame. This is to facilitate question filtering throughout the survey modules. Demographic information collected from the respondent may include sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, ethnicity, employment status, and marital status.
Other demographic topics will be added from the Census of Population sample frame and will not be asked directly of the respondent in the questionnaire. These may include citizenship, housing status, household composition (one person, cohabiting, and so on), parental status, and deprivation index.
